Physiotherapy

What is Physiotherapy?

Physiotherapy focuses on maximizing the potential of children experiencing delay in the development of gross motor skills. Cuevas MEDEK Exercises is one of our treatment approaches used to develop gross motor skills in infants and young children with motor impairment.

Paediatric physiotherapists have specific knowledge and experience working with children. They have a special interest in child development and have extensive knowledge in normal and abnormal movement patterns and specific neurological, genetic, and orthopedic conditions. Paediatric physiotherapists strive to help children at risk of, or with motor impairment, reach their maximum potential for functional independence and active participation in daily activities at home, school, and in the community. They work closely with families and caregivers in conjunction with other health care professionals in order to achieve therapeutic goals for each individual child.
