MUSIC THERAPY & SPEECH THERAPY
Program: Music Express
Music Express! is an innovative program for children experiencing communication difficulties and/or developmental delay – as well as for children seeking an enriched language experience. The program combines elements of music, movement, and rhythm to develop oral motor, articulation, language, social, fine and gross motor skills. Music Express! also provides an opportunity for exploration of feelings and creative self-expression through improvisation and song writing.
Age: 2.5 to 12 years old
Burlington:
Facilitators: Kim Kearns-Pace, Kimberly Bauerly, Robert Harris
Dates: January 23rd - March 13th (meeting once weekly)
Time: 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. (ages 2 to 5) or 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. (ages 6 and up)
Cost: $548 (plus the cost of program support materials)
Toronto:
Facilitators: Sandy Sebastian, Laura Stewart
Dates: January 9th - February 27th (meeting once weekly)
Time: 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. (ages 2 to 5) or 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. (ages 6 and up)

SPEECH THERAPY
Program: PD Day Social Language Groups
Participants will participate in theme-based activities to develop vocabulary, strengthen language processing skills, strengthen comprehension of spoken directions, practice retelling stories and verbally sequencing events, generalize and practice articulation and grammatical targets, practice social communication skills within a group of peers, creatively express themselves through music and crafts.
