Noreen Donnell

Clinical Director, Music Therapy, Burlington

Noreen (Kirwin) Donnell, holds a Master's degree in Music Therapy and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Music Therapy from Wilfrid Laurier University. Noreen has over 20 years of experience working clinically with a variety of populations at a number of private facilities that cater to children and adults with developmental and physical disabilities, psychiatric and emotional challenges, and children with ASD. She is co-founder of Music Express, a unique, music-based group intervention program that combines music therapy and speech/language pathology to improve communication skills in children. She is also accredited with the Canadian Association for Music Therapy where she served on the national board as Vice President (2004- 2009), is a member of the Canadian Music Therapy Association, the Music Therapy Association of Ontario, Laurier Centre for Music Therapy Research, and the Songwriters Association of Canada. Noreen has also and published numerous articles in the Canadian Journal of Music Therapy, has co-produced a CD entitled “Singalingalong."
