 Waterloo TeamOccupational Therapist , WaterlooAlison Hendricks graduated from McGill University with a BSc. (OT) and has since expanded her education studying Advanced Paediatrics. Her clinical practice focuses on sensory integration, school readiness, independent living skills and group social skills. She is certified in Therapeutic Listening and Handwriting Without Tears and has experience using the CO-OP (Cognitive Orientation of Occupational Performance) approach with children within treatment. As well, Alison is currently in the process of obtaining her Sensory Integration Praxis Test (SIPT) certification. Alison's flexible and interdisciplinary approach to intervention allows her to focus on the needs of the child and family in order to maximize and reach their treatment goals. Within the Kitchener Waterloo community Alison has been involved in presentations through the Waterloo Region Family Network, YMCA and Waterloo Regional Downs Syndrome Society. |
