Briar Cipryk

Speech-Language Pathologist, Waterloo

Briar has a Master of Science (Applied) in Speech-Language Pathology from McGill University and a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from Brock University. She is a registered member of the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO) and the Canadian Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (CASLPA). Having worked for the Ministry of Children and Youth Services in a children’s treatment centre, Briar brings to blueballoon extensive years of pediatric experience. She has a special interest in the area of Auditory Verbal Therapy and Practice, Aural Rehabilitation, and Preschool-Literacy. She also has experience helping implement intensive emergent literacy programs for students in junior and senior kindergarten. Briar is Hanen® certified in It Takes Two to Talk® and More Than Words® and has been trained in many other therapy approaches including Lidcombe (stuttering treatment), Kaufman Speech to Language Protocol (KSLP) and has her Level 1 Professional Auditory Verbal Therapy training. Briar is excited to provide assessment and treatment of communication concerns in an interdisciplinary environment that supports the individual and family.
