Waterloo TeamBehaviour Consultant, WaterlooKaren has a PhD in Developmental Psychology, a Masters of Applied Science - Developmental Communication Science (MASc), and a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from the University of Waterloo and extensive experience working with families and children with developmental disabilities. Her experience includes worked as an Inclusion Co-ordinator providing inclusion services for children with autism and other disabilities within the daycare, preschool, and elementary school classrooms and also as an ABA consultant creating and implementing academic and behavioural programs for home and school programs. In addition, Karen has provided training on ABA therapy for many families, instructor therapists, and teachers, has organized and presented at many different conferences in areas such as Functional Behaviour Assessments, Behaviour Management, Visual Tools, and Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), and has organized parent support groups and parent training sessions. |
