Clinical Director, Psychology, TorontoDr. Joanne Cummings holds a PhD. in Clinical Developmental Psychology from York University. Dr. Cummings’ passion and clinical expertise is in working with very young children and (age 0-6) and their parents. She conducts assessments for behaviour problems, aggressive behaviour, unusual patterns of development, and Autism Spectrum Disorder. She provides family-focused treatment and parent counselling. Dr. Cummings is the Director of Clinical Training – Blueballoon Psychology, enabling her to mentor the psychology team and welcome trainees. In addition to her clinical work at blueballoon Health Services, Dr. Cummings is the Partnership Director of Promoting Relationships and Eliminating Violence (PREVNet). Before joining blueballoon, Dr. Cummings was an Ontario Mental Health Postdoctoral Fellow and subsequently a researcher-clinician in the Infant Psychiatry Program of the Hospital for Sick Children. Dr. Cummings was a lecturer for the Infant Mental Health Certificate Program at York University, and has consulted to the Family Home Visitor Program of Toronto Public Health. |
