Occupational Therapist, TorontoAshley has always had a strong interest in pediatrics and graduated with an Honors Specialization in Health Science from the University of Western Ontario, receiving her Masters in Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy from the University of Toronto. Ashley is certified in Therapeutic Listening and has experience facilitating the Astronaut program, which is a sound-activated, vestibular-visual protocol. Ashley has taken the Handwriting Without Tears courses, K -5, and has experience using sensorimotor strategies for fine motor skill development. Her background includes international fieldwork in Trinidad and Tobago where she was involved in developing a culturally sensitive functional assessment for individuals with disabilities and completed her final clinical placement at blueballoon. These experiences and courses have further enhanced her skills in the field of pediatrics while developing her knowledge of children with a broad range of abilities. |
