Instructor Therapist, TorontoRachel received a Bachelor of Arts Honours Psychology (BA) from the University of Windsor, an Ontario College Graduate Certificate in Autism & Behavioural Science from George Brown College, and a Bachelor of Education (BEd) from the University of Ontario Institute of Technology. Rachel has extensive experience working directly with children and youth and has a personal passion for working with Autistic clients and those with other developmental disabilities. Prior to working at blueballoon, Rachel was an Instructor Therapist of IBI, a Life Skills Tutor, an Enhanced Educational Aide, and also worked at Windsor-Essex Therapeutic Riding Association. Rachel has a strong understanding of Applied Behaviour Analysis, ASD, and both typical and atypical child development. Rachel has in-depth knowledge of a variety of curriculums and instructional strategies used to teach learners of varying levels of functioning. Her strengths include her ability to connect with her students, and work with students with challenging behaviours. Rachel is an enthusiastic educator, and strives to create educational environments that are inclusive and diverse. |
