Dr. Meredith Gillespie

Psychologist (Supervised Practice), Burlington

Dr. Meredith received her Ph.D. in School/Applied Child Psychology from McGill University. She has extensive experience conducting comprehensive psychological assessments with preschool- and school-age children, as well as adolescents. Dr. Gillespie has broad-based training and experience working with children and youth with behavioural, social and emotional difficulties in individual and family therapy. Additionally, she has specialized experience in CBT-based anxiety treatment for children, as well as in parent-child attachment therapy. Dr. Gillespie received her clinical training from ROCK: Reach Out Centre for Kids, an accredited mental health agency in the Halton Region, from the Montreal Children’s Hospital (Outpatient Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Unit), and from the McGill Psychoeducational & Counselling Clinic. Dr. Gillespie’s research background is in the area of high-risk behaviour among youth; she remains affiliated with The International Centre for Youth Gambling Problems and High-Risk Behaviours at McGill University. Dr. Gillespie is currently working under the supervision of Dr. Revital Ben-Knaz, C.Psych.
