Ami Morris

Clinical Site Lead, Behaviour Consultant, Burlington

Ami, a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA), has extensive training and experience in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA). She obtained her Masters degree in Applied Disability Studies (MADS) with a specialization in ABA from Brock University. Prior to completing her Masters, Ami completed BCBA approved professional development coursework in ABA from The Florida Institute of Technology. As well, she has attended several workshops and received additional training in teaching vocal and non vocal learners how to communicate effectively through verbal behaviour, sign language and PECS. Ami has experience working with individuals ages 2-20 with a diverse range of exceptionalities and individual needs in various settings. As a Behaviour Consultant at blueballoon, Ami oversees and supervises ABA and IBI programming (1:1 and social skills groups), consults to families, schools, and other professionals. She also supervises and provides training to other team members pursuing BCBA certification. In addition to her supervisory role, Ami works one-on-one with children in developing functional life skills (self help, communication, social, and academic) and reducing maladaptive behaviour. Ami works within a multidisciplinary framework with her fellow colleagues in developing and implementing cohesive and individualized clinical programming.
