Justine Huszczynski

Occupational Therapist, Burlington

Justine received her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from McMaster University and holds a Bachelor of Science Honours Kinesiology and Physical Education degree from Wilfrid Laurier University. Justine’s passion for pediatrics began through various volunteer experiences in which she worked closely with children with developmental delays. Justine subsequently worked as a residential camp counselor in Pennsylvania for children and young adults with developmental disabilities, which particularly deepened her passion for pediatrics due to the connections she made with campers and their families. Justine has also worked as a research assistant for two studies regarding brain laterality and handedness in children with and without Autism Spectrum Disorder. Most recently, Justine completed an evidence-based research project at McMaster University, which involved implementing an environment-focused occupational therapy intervention to improve leisure activities for youth with disabilities. Justine is committed to providing children and their families with access to interdisciplinary treatment and therapy that demonstrates client-centered care.
