Alison Lennox

Communication Disorder Assistant, Aurora

Alison graduated from The University of Western Ontario with a Bachelor of Health Science Degree. During her time at Western, Alison took a variety of child development courses that inspired her to pursue a career working with the pediatric population. As an integration counselor at King Day Camp Seneca College, Alison began working with children with exceptionalities and realized that this was her passion. She was particularly inspired by working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders and became interested in the field of speech and language. She knew she wanted to help children and their families who were faced with communication challenges. Upon graduating from Western, Alison completed her Communicative Disorders Assistant Post-Graduate Certificate at Georgian College. She has since had experience working with children in the areas of articulation, expressive and receptive language, fluency and apraxia. Alison is certified in Sara Rosenfeld-Johnson’s Oral Placement Therapy (OPT) Level 1 and is a current member of The Communicative Disorders Assistant Association of Canada. Alison delights in the fact that every day at work she gets to help children and their families and is proud to be on the blueballoon Health Services team!
