Aurora TeamOccupational Therapist, AuroraKim received her Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy from McMaster University and her Bachelor of Science (Honors) in Human Kinetics from the University of Ottawa. Her research in school included working with children with Developmental Coordination Disorder learn new motor activities and children with acquired brain injuries regain their ability to feed and swallow. As well, Kim has had multiple volunteer experiences working with children who have severe physical and developmental disabilities. She has completed the Handwriting Without Tears “Get Set for School: Readiness & Writing; Literacy & Math Workshops” and “Kindergarten-5th Grade Workshop”. Fine and gross motor development and the use of a multisensory approach on development are of particular interest to her. Kim has always been passionate about working in the pediatric field and looks forward to continuing this passion while working as an Occupational Therapist at blueballoon. |
