 Aurora TeamOccupational Therapist, AuroraAlexis received her Masters in Occupational Therapy from McMaster University and completed her Masters of Science in Human Development and Early Childhood Disorders at the University of Texas. Prior to embarking on her career in Occupational Therapy, Alexis worked as an Instructor Therapist with the Toronto Partnership for Autism Services. Her education allowed her to use a combination of Floortime and Applied Behaviour Analysis when working with children on the Autism Spectrum. While at McMaster, Alexis continued to work with children with developmental delays in improving their fine and gross motor skills. Additionally, as part of the Ontario Summer Company Program, Alexis owned and operated a business that, through home visits, provided parents of children with Autism the knowledge and skills required to support their children within their home and community. At blueballoon, Alexis has been trained in Therapeutic Listening and looks forward to further developing her skills and learning new techniques. |
